Pre-Conference Training

Need to quickly train a new accounting hire, upgrade your Sage Intacct skills, or find out how to ace our advanced reporting features? Join one of our pre-conference training courses. Courses are available exclusively for Sage Intacct customers who are attending Advantage 2017. CPE credits are available for each course.

Attendees need to bring a wireless-enabled laptop with a Sage Intacct-supported browser. You may register for training during the Advantage 2017 registration process. Limited seats are available so be sure to sign up early.

 

Courses Offered

This 2-day introductory course is designed to teach business users how to navigate and perform accounting functions. You will learn how to perform typical daily, monthly, and annual procedures, such as creating purchase orders and making payments, creating sales invoices, receiving payments, reimbursing employee expenses, and reconciling bank statements and credit cards, and running standards reports. This course will use Sage Intacct Action as the user Interface.

Prerequisites:

  • Familiarity with accounting terminology and functions
  • Working knowledge of web browsers and Excel
  • Knowledge of what type of company structure is implemented in your organization
  • Knowledge of which applications are implemented in your organization

This 2-day course is designed to teach you the essentials of using the Financial Report Writer to create and manage financial reports. In addition, this course teaches you how to create graphs, dashboards, and performance cards to provide insight into your organization's performance. You will use account groups, dimensions, and calculations to create reports for analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing audit-ready financials. You will also schedule reports for delivery and run reports together in a report group. Learning activities help you practice the skills taught. This course will use Sage Intacct Action as the user Interface.

Prerequisites:

  • Ability to confidently navigate the Sage Intacct system
  • A good working knowledge of basic accounting, financial, and statutory reporting

This 1-day course teaches you how to build advanced financial reports. You will filter reports using custom fields; use dimension structures to analyze financial and operational data; and calculate complex financial ratios to provide insights into financial and business metrics. You will also view reports using alternate account names/numbers and use books to easily report on different accounting standards. Learning activities help you practice the skills taught. This course will use Sage Intacct Action as the user interface.

Prerequisites:

  • Solid ability to create financial reports, including filtering, comparing data across time periods and dimensions, and performing calculations
  • Prior completion of the Financial Reporting and Dashboards course is highly recommended

This 2-day course is designed to teach Intacct business users how to perform day to day contract functions. You will learn how to perform typical daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual procedures, such as create contracts, process contract amendments and renewals, setup billing price lists, input usage and metered services, enter expenses and create fair value price lists, manage check lists, and generate invoices for contracts. You will also learn to run financial statements, forecasts, and view digital board books specific to contracts. This course will use Sage Intacct Action as the User Interface.

Prerequisites:

  • Prior completion of the Sage Intacct Fundamentals course is required
  • Prior completion of the Financial Reporting and Dashboard course is strongly suggested
  • Knowledge of ASC 606 is expected.

CPE Credits

Advantage attendees can earn up to 25 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits by attending eligible pre-conference training, hands-on training, and breakout sessions. Partner Summit, customer panel sessions, Partner Showcase sessions are not eligible for CPE credits. Please check the Session Catalog to identify sessions eligible for CPE credits. To obtain CPE credits, attendees must scan their badge upon entering each eligible session and also must complete the conference session surveys. Credit certificates will be emailed 4-6 weeks following the event.


Sage Intacct Corporation is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
