On Demand Solutions
Functionality, Scalability and Customer Support
SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 22, 2005 — Intacct Corporation, the leader in on-demand ERP, is the top ranked Web-based solution in The CPA Technology Advisor’s 2005 review of high-end accounting products. Intacct received four of five stars overall and was rewarded a perfect score for functionality, scalability and customer support in the magazine’s December issue, which is out on Nov. 30.
“The intrinsic value of software as a service — lower cost, greater flexibility and higher ROI — is now augmented by robust product features, scalability and support,” said Robert J. Jurkowski, CEO and president of Intacct. “While Intacct delivers innovation to a growing number of enterprise customers and software makers, the competition is stuck offering costly license fees and cumbersome maintenance contracts, which are quickly suffocating growth in the client-server application market.”
The CPA Technology Advisor evaluated the nine most-popular high-end accounting products from major software vendors, including Microsoft, Sage Software and Epicor Software. Among the categories reviewed were modules available, scalability, ease of use, customization, security, integration, reporting and support. The CPA Technology Advisor reaches approximately 50,000 tax and accounting professionals who represent the primary decision-makers within public accounting firms.
Intacct delivers financial, supply chain, professional services automation and business intelligence software as an on-demand service. More than 2,000 enterprises, accounting firms and business process outsourcers pay a monthly subscription fee to access Intacct’s ERP On Demand suite on the Web. The elimination of hardware, software and IT resources is one of many reasons research firm IDC projects sales of software-as-a-service applications to reach $10.7 billion in 2009.
