October 17, 2002 (Los Gatos, Calif.)— Intacct Corporation, the leading provider of online professional accounting solutions, today announced the release of the Intacct Client Write-Up application at its annual NetGain Accounting Visionary Conference in Monterey, Calif. Intacct Client Write-Up is the first client write-up accounting package designed as a fully web-based application and is integrated into Intacct's comprehensive suite of accounting applications for small to midsize businesses.
With Intacct Client Write-Up, accounting firm staff and contractors can simultaneously work on clients' books via an easy-to-use online E-Practice Console, the hub of the Intacct accounting system for accounting professionals. The online E-Practice Console allows an accounting firm to manage all of their client accounts, including write-up clients, from a single, browser-based interface.

Fast Batch Data-Entry and Financial Reporting Wizard
In addition to its significant operational benefits, Intacct Client Write-Up offers the specialized accounting features most needed for efficient write-up work. For instance, a fast "batch" data-entry mode is available for rapid after-the-fact entry of checks, receipts, and journal entries. This data entry can even be performed offline on a personal computer using Intacct's optional Desktop Console, and then later synchronized online with all other client data.
The application's integrated supporting documents feature further permits the uploading of electronic files, such as spreadsheets or electronic fax images, to a virtual client filing cabinet for convenient anytime/anywhere retrieval. A financial reporting wizard makes it easy to create professional-quality custom online reports, and accountants can readily export accounting data to the leading business tax programs, including Lacerte from Intuit and CCH ProSystemfx.
Other features greatly enhance the efficiency of the CPA and client relationship. For instance, to speed client service and save postage, clients may be given the ability to view their own books and reports online. For further compliance and quality review, there is an optional Intacct Assurance module for online compliance documentation.
No Software Installation or Maintenance Required
As an integral part of the Intacct E-Practice solution, accounting firms benefit from the use of a single platform, across all clients. Also, being a web-based solution is a major advantage to accounting firms because with Intacct Client Write-Up the accounting firm does not have to install software on their servers or handle data backups, software upgrades, or network services. Each client posted in the Intacct Client Write-Up application has a growth path built to the rest of the Intacct online professional accounting system. So that, as a firm's clients grow, they can continue using the same Intacct accounting program, and the accountant can assume more of an advisory "Virtual CFO" position.

Pricing and Availability
Intacct Client Write-Up is available today. For accounting firms there is an Intacct Client Write-Up annual license fee of $995 for use with up to 100 write-up clients, plus six cents per day, per client for IT services.
