January 28, 2002 (Los Gatos, Calif.)— Intacct® Corporation, the leading provider of online professional accounting solutions, today announced the appointment of John Dillon to the company's board of directors.
A respected figure within the software and Internet industries, Dillon is the president and chief executive officer of diCarta®, a market-leading provider of enterprise contract management solutions. Before joining diCarta in November 2001, Dillon was the CEO of the widely recognized online sales force automation (SFA) and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions provider salesforce.com. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of Hyperion Solutions, the public company formed through the merger of Hyperion Software and Arbor Software, and a leading vendor of enterprise software for business reporting, analysis and planning.
"John's wealth of experience, including his expertise in global enterprise systems and the inner workings of the online business services model will make him an invaluable member of Intacct's board of directors," said David C. Thomas, who previously founded Cyma Systems; Ann Winblad, the co-founding partner at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and previously co-founder of Open Systems; Mario Rosati, a partner at the law practice of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and managing partner of WS Investments; and Marc Sokol, a partner at JK&B capital and formerly a senior vice president for Computer Associates International.
In addition to his role on the Intacct board of directors, Dillon serves on the board of directors for Plumtree Software, the leader of the corporate portal software market, and is chairman of the board for Sanctum, Inc., a leader in web application security solutions. Dillon earned a B.S. in engineering from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and holds a MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University. He served on active duty as an officer in the United States Navy nuclear submarine service.
