  • I Dream of Dreamforce

And that’s a wrap! After months of planning for Dreamforce, the Superbowl of Tech Conferences is complete!

The 150,000 people that descended upon the city of San Francisco for Dreamforce last week have departed (sans the many local attendees), the Dreamboat has left the dock, and the curtain has closed on the Foo Fighters.

Intacct was proud to yet again sponsor Dreamforce this year, and participate in three sessions throughout the week.

Intacct and Salesforce have a long-standing relationship, with a large number of our customers using Intacct integrated with Salesforce. Here’s what some of our Intacct customers have said about using both systems.

Women’s World Banking is a global nonprofit devoted to giving low-income women access to financial tools and resources, including a full suite of microfinance products for savings, credit, and insurance. With two nonprofit entities in the United States and the Netherlands, Women’s World Banking requires sophisticated global accounting and financial management processes to keep the organization running smoothly.

Michael Mohr, chief financial officer at Women’s World Banking said, “…We valued the flexibility Intacct would provide us down the road when we need it to integrate with our other solutions like Salesforce.com.”

Solutionreach offers SaaS solutions for total patient engagement, serving health care providers such as dentists, physicians, and optometrists. The company has grown revenues 50 percent consistently over the past several years, and as this growth accelerated, its finance team decided the time was right to replace its previous accounting software. They specifically wanted an ERP solution that offered subscription management that was built with Salesforce CRM in mind.

“We knew we needed a cloud solution that could handle our growth and would integrate with whatever new business applications we adopted down the road. Intacct easily met these requirements, and its AICPA endorsement gave us peace of mind that its scalable general ledger was built for finance and would work for us over the long term,” said Steve Dalton, Solutionreach’s director of finance.

As a result of Intacct’s robust and flexible subscription billing and revenue recognition capabilities, as well as its seamless integration with other best-in class applications like Salesforce CRM, Solutionreach was able to establish a highly-efficient subscription lifecycle management process that has more than kept pace with its thirty-fold increase in monthly subscription volumes.

Evariant is a leading SaaS company founded in 2008 and has grown headcount and top line revenue at rates exceeding 75% for several years. Because it’s previous financial system was not integrated with the company’s Salesforce CRM system, Evariant’s finance team spent hours every week manually re-entering sales order data from Salesforce.

“Intacct was the clear choice for us over NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics. Intacct delivered far superior time-to-value, flexibility to integrate with our application ecosystem, and timesaving revenue recognition capabilities — such as complete transparency between Salesforce bookings information, as well as revenue activity down to a SKU-level,” said James Orsillo, Chief Financial Officer at Evariant.

By integrating Intacct with Salesforce, Evariant has also streamlined its entire order-to-cash process. For example, its sales orders are automatically passed from Salesforce into Intacct, which provides tight controls around invoices, journal entries and approval requirements, with a clear audit trail back to the originating contract.

Those are just three examples of how the Intacct-Salesforce integration links the best-in-class cloud accounting solution with the best-in-class cloud CRM solution. What do you get when you bring these two powerful solutions together? A full view of every customer.
