Intacct and SCORE Partner to Bring Cloud Computing to More than One Million Small Businesses
SAN JOSE, Calif and WASHINGTON, D.C. – Jan. 10, 2011 – Intacct, a leader in cloud financial management and accounting applications, and SCORE, America's premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs, today announced an exclusive partnership that will benefit SCORE and the more than one million businesses SCORE helps to start and grow every year.
Intacct and SCORE have joined forces to support SCORE's mission of facilitating entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small businesses nationwide. Intacct and SCORE will work together to educate small businesses about "cloud computing" and the benefits cloud computing-based applications can provide to the businesses SCORE counsels.
The new Intacct and SCORE partnership will leverage Intacct's existing relationship with the AICPA, which helps small and mid-sized businesses adopt cloud computing and connect with more than 45,000 AICPA member CPA firms to improve financial performance, take better advantage of financial advice and make better and faster business decisions. As part of the new partnership, Intacct will offer exclusive discounts on its financial management and accounting applications to businesses working with SCORE and AICPA member CPA firms.
SCORE has also selected and will standardize on Intacct as the new financial management and accounting system for its headquarters and for more than 350 chapters throughout the United States and its territories. Intacct is well suited to the needs of distributed organizations like SCORE - providing the ability to easily manage the finances of the entire business while still allowing each SCORE chapter to function as an autonomous unit.
"We at Intacct are delighted to be in a position to support SCORE's mission of educating entrepreneurs and helping small business start, grow and succeed nationwide," added Robert Reid, CEO of Intacct "Intacct and cloud computing are a perfect fit to help SCORE and its clients improve productivity, increase transparency and reduce costs."
"Small and mid-sized businesses can use cloud computing to actively manage their financial performance by becoming continuously aware of their financial position and collaborate with trusted CPA advisors to make the best possible business decisions," said Erik Asgeirsson, president and CEO of CPA2Biz. "We are very excited to connect our AICPA member firms with both Intacct and SCORE to help SCORE's clients become more profitable and productive."
